Garmin Forerunner 265

“...When I had mine I was charging it every 4-5 days. It depends on how you use it. I had AOD on...”

“...Disable always on display, you dont need it...”

“...In contrast, an AMOLED display is constantly draining battery when on, so the screen needs to be dimmed or completely off to conserve battery...”

“...I had the exact same issue when I got my 265S about 3 weeks ago...”

“...When I first got my 165 it was draining like crazy (I’m talking battery lasting 3 days max)...”

“...I implemented all the battery saving tweaks and still got down my FR965's battery life to 25 hours max...”

“...The AMOLED is easier to see, but it really kills the battery life...”

“...Are you listening to music on your runs? Music absolutely kills battery life...”

“...When I had mine I was charging it every 4-5 days. It depends on how you use it. I had AOD on...”

“...I got a Venu 3 on Friday and the battery for the first day or so was draining fast because it was installing a lot of updates etc...”

“...When my watch was new (955) I blew through the first few battery cycles because I was constantly messing around with it trying to get it set up for my use...”

“...On my 255 i now get about that level of battery drain. It appeared with last firmware release...”

“...I had the exact same issue when I got my 265S about 3 weeks ago. Almost got frustrated and thought my watch was broken somehow because of the 10-20% battery drain per day...”

“...Garmin states that the user cannot replace the battery. It must be sent to Garmin via RMA. The cost is $170...”

“...The policy of non-replaceable batteries started with the original Fenix; I know because this happened to me...”

“...Garmin won't sell you a battery to replace it yourself. They want some insane amount to send it to them to replace the battery...”

“...I was refused a battery replacement service after 5 years of ownership. Besides the battery, the watch is otherwise still perfect...”

“...Another aspect to improve is the size of the screen bezel...”

“...the UI is quite alright though it lags only when you use an intensive watchface...”

“...It recorded the first run then got stuck on a screen and WILL NOT correct no matter how many restarts...”

“...The UI looks childish to me but that may be simple matter of taste...”

“...The only flaw that I find in this watch is the heart rate sensor or probably their software for it...”

“...the sensor somehow goes into standby as and when the screen shuts off and works randomly...”

“...Garmin can’t help you painted your arm dark and now you complain about that the watch can’t read trough the ink...”

“...All watches including Apple Watch, Coros etc have similar issues as tattoo ink absorbs light which hinders the heart rate sensor...”
