Opel Astra (2024)

“...I'd pay £20k tops for a petrol engine. They won't be getting my money...”

“...Second impression is: "How much?!". Definitely better looking than the Golf, IMO...”

“...The reason for the big price bump in comparison to the old model is that there are currently only the higher trims available due to the shortage of supplies in the car industry...”

“...Too bloody expensive though...”

“...All new Opel Astra cars that dealers imported in my country a year ago, are still listed and not sold 33k eur, reduced to 29k but still can't sell them...”

“...I bought a brand new mk7 top spec with heated seats and steering wheel in 2016 for the same price as this mid spec used mk8...”

“...the price of a used Astra has doubled in 6 years! It’s a joke...”

“...Over the years the quality has definitely dropped and honestly, I think Opel’s pretty gutsy asking the prices they do for their cars nowadays, whether it’s ICE or EV. The Mokka GSE is no doubt a solid performer, but I seriously doubt many folks would drop nearly €50k on one...”

“...Finally somebody mentioned the vibrations in 1.2 and automatic...”

“...Hey Matt- a way to visualise the NVH levels in the car you could place a glass of water or coffee in the cup holders in the centre console...”

“...No way is that car worth risking as wet belt engines now fitted and over priced...”

“...When I realised it ran its timing belt in oil I just walked away...”

“...I am a victim (vaxhuall grandland) of this 1.2 puretech engine with wetbelt issues, and piston ring issues which use tons of oil...”

“...They already do have the problem 1.2 puretech in crossland grandland mokka all failing on low mileage...”

“...They could’ve done a lot better inside though, there’s no need for so many screens. I don’t get that with cars these days, there should just be one for infotainment and one for the dials...”

“...That digital dash looks cheap and nasty, like a Chinese cheapo kit bought off Ali Express...”

“...Looks awful though doesn't it?Quite a few manufacturer's are doing this 'slab' look at the moment and its just a quick, chest cop out...”
